Come beat the heat while improving the partnership between you and your horse! The Balanced Equestrian Series is a new clinic series designed to help riders get the best out of their horses through three different methods presented by our variety of clinicians. Starting at 10 AM, Katharine Stancliff of Stancliff Saddle Fitting will be discussing how the horse's anatomy plays into a well fitted saddle, and how a balanced fit can produce better rides for all levels of competitive and pleasure riders. Check out Katharine at - www.StancliffSaddleFitting.com or on Facebook at Stancliff Saddle Fitting Next up, Nicole Watts of EquiZen Performance Equine Therapies will introduce attendees to the benefits of acupressure and massage therapy to get their horse's bodies aligned and feeling their best. Check out Nicole at - http://equizen.biz/ or on Facebook EquiZen Horse Therapies, LLC Lastly, our very own Cerice Berndsen will present a live demonstration of Horse and Rider Biomechanics to show how a balanced horse and rider will produce better connection and long term benefits for developing quality partnerships. She will be joined by two different horse and rider pairs. Check out Cerice on Facebook at Equestrian Power Attendance to the clinic is free with a recommended $10 donation to our host, NFP Puddin' Pie's Place at Hulinn Dalur Farm. They provide a safe sanctuary for a small number of horses and donkeys who have suffered abuse or neglect. Along with all the basics of vet and farrier care, food and water, they give these deserving souls a soft place to land with lots of love.
Some of the residents at Puddin' Pie's Place also participate in community outreach programs such as visiting hospice patients and reading programs with local children. Check out puddinpiesplace.org or on Facebook at Puddin' Pie's Place for more information! Light lunch and snacks will be provided by Equestrian Power, please RSVP on the Facebook Event Page so we can make sure to have plenty of food and drinks for everybody!
Thanks to our sponsors, we also have some exciting prizes to be raffled off throughout the day.
This is just the first of what we hope will be many of these events throughout the region. We look forward to seeing you there!
