FLOW STATE FOR EQUESTRIANS

Increase Focus, Learning, Awareness, Bonding, and Motivation

During the experience of Flow State, the activity you are involved in makes your conscious sense of self and of time dissolve, what you are doing becomes completely effortless. The what, where, when, and how starts clicking in without the need for conscious thought, and the sensory experience is incredibly rich. Being able to tap into this brings us into a place where we can creat harmony with our horse.

Rider Biomechanics

RIDER BIOMECHANICS

Learn to influence your horse through the power of your body. Become stable, effective, and subtle.

Rider biomechanics training opens the door to the unconscious skills of elite riders and makes them accessible to the rest of us. It trains the rider to be aware of the inherent patterns of their body and provides the tools to change them to make profoundly influential connections with their horse. Rider biomechanics training improves communication between human and horse regardless of breed or discipline.

FLOW STATE FOR EQUESTRIANS; Finding Focus & Harmony With Your Horse with Cerice Berndsen

Being able to tap into this has many benefits for us as equestrian athletes.

  • Focus- Flow allows us to dial in to what we are doing, absolutely. It pulls us into the immediate now, and alters the way that we notice the passing of time. In the moment, that means things seem slower, leaving more time to make decisions and connections that might otherwise not happen.

  • Learning- Learning and skill building in a state of flow can increases by roughly 50%, significantly reducing the time and repetition it takes for learning and assimilating new skills.

  • Awareness- Flow slows down or shuts off the part of our brain that plays host to our inner critic. This means that voice in your head that second guesses your thoughts and actions  goes silent. How awesome is that?!?

  • Bonding-Empathy and feelings of satisfaction increase significantly. In a sport where your teammate speaks a silent language, being more tuned in and empathetic to their experience means greater connection and willingness from them, thereby enhancing team performance.

  • Motivation-Flow is the source of intrinsic motivation, that keeps us coming back time after time and embracing the challenge of equestrian sport.

"Cerice is a true teacher. She has a strong intuitive sense of the needs of both horse and rider, as well as extensive knowledge of and experience with many different breeds and disciplines. She knows when to give that extra push while still maintaining a feeling of safety, helping the rider to build confidence with each lesson. She is supportive, patient, kind, and always maintains a sense of humor."
